who i am
I am an artist, designer and computer geek.
My favorite question "Did you have to go to school to do that?" I think it's hard for people to believe that I actually had to get an education to do something I immensely enjoy everyday, or better yet that I get paid to do what I love. The answer, is yes, I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University. There I studied not only advertising, marketing and graphic design, but I was immersed in a sea of all art mediums. My college experience was invaluable and highly responsible for my success today. Guess that's a good thing since there are still tuition bills being paid!
After college I worked in the advertising field for several different types of agencies, learning the ins and outs of marketing, design and advertising in the real world. In 2002, I started freelancing which turned full time as I left my J.O.B. and started AdGirl in 2003.
Now, with almost 14 years of design education and experience, I work with over 60 companies in various parts of the United States. My clients range from small start-ups to large corporations. Ultimately, their success is my greatest interest. I pride myself in running a company focused on competitive rates and quick deadlines. Most importantly, I strive to keep up with the current trends in web and print advertising as well as making sure I am educated in the technology it takes to provide them with the latest and greatest.
As you can see on the work section of my site I design everything from the smallest printed pieces to customizing the latest craze in social media. I love a challenge, and learning new software, to me, is like eating a giant Snicker's Bar! Bring it on. To feed this craving, in my free time I test new software and write about it for DigitalAppleJuice.com - an online magazine for digital artists.
As if, with all that, my passion for all things creative could not be quenched, I started exploring the world of photography in 2007. Since then I have had the pleasure of shooting many of life’s Brilliant Blessings as I moonlight as a children’s photographer.
Now, if you want to know way too much about who I am personally, and pretty much EVERYTHING I am doing, work and not work related, check out my blog. If you’re interested in working with me, give me a shout!
